Consent Workshops for Colleges and Universities

University students are tired of catchy slogans (consent is sexy!), click through modules on harassment, and cutesy videos to explain concepts they already know. They want to learn practical relational skills that go beyond the surface, and to be better equipped to navigate real-world situations with confidence.

For many, college and university is not only when consent training and workshops become more available, it’s also when they become more relevant. When they’re not in class or studying, students want to have fun, make friends, and have good on campus experiences.

Consent Workshops post-secondary workshops are designed to be candid and interactive, facilitating an environment where people feel safe to be honest and ask questions. Having a sexual health educator teach consent means you will bring a nuanced and compelling workshop to your group.

“Rae's approach to teaching about sexual assault and consent was particularly impressive. She created a supportive and safe learning environment that encouraged active participation and discussion while being mindful of the sensitive subject matter. Rae was able to communicate complex topics in a way that was easy to understand.

What stood out to me the most was Rae's willingness to work within our budgetary capacity.  She took the time to speak with me and understand the specific needs and concerns of the sorority members. Rae was able to tailor her content to align with the unique challenges and experiences affecting university aged women in their daily lives. Her interactive teaching style encouraged active participation from everyone in the room, which resulted in a safe space for members to ask questions.

The members of Kappa Beta Gamma left the workshop with a thorough understanding of consent.”

Consent Workshops for Greek Life

Many people join fraternities and sororities because they want to be in a supportive community that will create long lasting friendships. However, there are many negative stereotypes that don’t reflect the experience of many people participating in Greek life. Sororities and fraternities are not as homogenous as they used to be, with brothers and sisters of diverse sexual orientations and genders. Consent workshops need to reflect the reality of the student experience, not speak to the stereotype, and give you tangible, actionable communication skills.

Consent Workshops for Fraternities

Consent workshops for fraternities focus on understanding that the fraternity can create a culture of consent that will make everyone feel safe to party. These workshops focus on knowing your own boundaries and limits, and learning how to communicate those to others, in addition to respecting someone else’s wants and desires.

All workshops can be adapted to fit the values and community expectations that are unique to your chapter.

Consent Workshops for Sororities

Consent workshops for sororities emphasise the importance of cultivating a supportive environment where all members feel secure and respected. These sessions focus on recognizing personal boundaries, understanding how to assert them confidently, and honouring the boundaries and desires of others. The goal is to empower sorority members to contribute to a culture of consent that enhances safety and trust within your community.

All workshops can be adapted to fit the values and community expectations that are unique to your chapter

Consent Workshops for Student Leadership

Being part of a student organisation offers a variety of leadership skills that are valuable in both personal and professional contexts, like strategic thinking, networking, and conflict resolution. In addition to teaching healthy boundaries, consent training improves interpersonal communication. These are leadership skills that will benefit you beyond your academic career.

Consent workshops for student leadership focus on teaching the relational skills necessary to create a safer space on campus, rooted in a culture of respect and consent.

Bystander Awareness Training

Bystander awareness workshops teach you how to identify sexual assault and abuse, and how to identify coercive and unhealthy relationships. You will leave knowing what your intervention options are, and give you the skills to intervene, and prevent, sexual assault. Bystander awareness training can be added as a topic to any consent workshop, or as a stand alone training.

“Last year, we brought Rae in to conduct a consent workshop for our new pledges. Our chapter has always prided itself on being known as the "safe frat," and we wanted to keep that reputation strong. Rae created an environment where everyone felt comfortable sharing their experiences and asking questions about dating and relationships. She really connected with the guys, helping them understand that they didn’t have to conform to stereotypes about how men should act. Instead, she encouraged them to listen to themselves and focus on what they genuinely want in relationships. The workshop was so impactful that we've invited Rae back this year to continue the conversation”
